   ● Summit the highest peak in Africa at sunrise (19,341 ft)

Itinerary

Arrive to Kilimanjaro International Airport where our team will be awaiting your
arrival. Drive 1 hour to the town of Moshi to check into our partner lodge to
catch up on jet lag. Join the rest of the group for a welcome dinner at the
lodge.
Peak Altitude: 2,800 ft (853 m)
Inclusions: Welcome dinner (two meal options + other options available for
guest purchase); airport transportation; accommodations

After an early breakfast, drive 1 hour to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate to
get your trekking permits. Depart with only a daypack and begin your ascent
through the mossy rain forest at a "pole pole" pace (slow slow!) to the
Machame campsite. Slow hiking over the next few days helps with
acclimatisation to the high altitude. Keep an eye out for monkeys and other
animals as you explore the lush forest. Enjoy a delicious meal before getting
some well-deserved rest at the Machame Camp.
Total Hiking: approximately 7 miles (11.2 km) / 5-7 hours of trekking
Peak Altitude: 9,400 ft (2865 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

After breakfast, leave the glades of the rain forest and continue your ascent.
Cross a small valley and walk along a steep rocky ridge covered with heather
until the ridge ends. Head west into a river gorge until you reach Shira Camp
for some relaxation and a delicious hot meal. Spend your second night
sleeping in tents under the stars.
Total Hiking: approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) / 4-6 hours of trekking
Peak Altitude: 12,500 ft (3810 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

Enjoy warm tea and coffee before beginning your trek to Barranco Camp. From
the Shira Plateau, continue east up a ridge passing the junction towards Kibo
peak. The trail gradually steepens, becoming a rocky semi-desert landscape.
Once at Barranco Camp, enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the beautiful
sunset. Although you end the day at the same elevation as you started, it's
very important for acclimatisation and will help your body prepare for summit
day.
Total Hiking: approximately 6.2 miles (11 km) / 6-8 hours trekking
Peak Altitude: 13,000 ft (3962 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

After breakfast, leave Barranco Camp and continue on a steep ridge, passing
the Barranco Wall. Continue for a short time through the Karanga Valley to the
Karanga Camp where you will stop for the night. This will be a short day meant
for acclimation to the increase in elevation.
Total Hiking: approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) / 4-5 hours trekking
Peak Altitude: 13,255 ft (4040 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

After breakfast, leave Barranco Camp and continue on a steep ridge past the
Barranco Wall and through the Karanga Valley. Continue up to the Barafu
camp where you will have great views of the summit. Make sure to rest up,
enjoy a hearty dinner, and prepare for the long summit approach starting in the
middle of the night.
Total Hiking: approximately 8 miles (13 km) / 8 hours trekking
Peak Altitude: 15,095 ft (4601 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

Prepare for a spectacular (and long) day! Wake up between midnight to 2 am to
hike up to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. Be prepared
for a very cold summit with plenty of layers and enough battery to snap that
summit shot. Head northwest and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella
Point on the crater rim. This is the most mentally and physically challenging
portion of the trek. After hiking through the night, enjoy a spectacular sunrise
as you reach Uhuru Peak at the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft). From the
summit, descend straight down to the Mweka camp site (10,171 ft). Enjoy your
last dinner on the mountain with your team of porters and guides.
Total Hiking (Ascent): approximately 3.1 miles (5 km) / 7-8 hours trekking
Total Hiking (Descent): approximately 7.5 miles (12 km) / 4-6 hours trekking
Peak Altitude: 19,341 ft (5895 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,
porter services

Soak in one last view from Mweka camp and enjoy singing and dancing with
your team. Now is a good time to tip the porters, cooks, and guides. Continue
down the trail to the Mweka Park Gate where a vehicle will meet you to drive
you back to your hotel in Moshi. After a hot shower and rest, enjoy a delicious
celebration dinner!
Total Hiking: approximately 6.2 miles (10 km) / 3-4 hours trekking
Peak Altitude: 10,171 ft (3100 m)
Inclusions: all meals + coffee, tea, water; national park fees; accommodations,

My experience with Roger as a tourist guide in Uganda Awsome experience! We traveled around Uganda and saw animals, climbed Mt.Elgon and visited a tribe. Our guide was very genuine and funny. The only thing I would have liked more is a breifing of the day. Other than that I totally recommend Roger as a Tourist Guide!!

Murchison falls - a 3 day customized safari tour The Game Ranger Tours team took us to a three day safari to the Murchison falls - the national park in the north-western Uganda. The owner of the travel agency - Roger - prepared a customized programme for us. We left Kampala at about 1 pm and drove for about six hours to the park to catch the last ferry to the other side of Nile at 7pm. After crossing the river, we were accommodated in a beautiful lodge called Paraa Safari. Next morning we started early to safari game drive across the savannah grassland. Our tour guide and driver - Juuko knew every road in the park. He took us to places where we saw giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, antelopes, kobs, elephants and many more wild animals and birds. The drive was a fantastic experience we'll never forget. In the afternoon we got back to the lodge to have lunch and then at about 3 pm took a boat to the falls - so beautiful nature sight! On the third day, before heading back to Kampala Roger and Juuko took us to the top of the falls where we could actually see how powerfull and strong the waterfall is! On our way to Kampala we visited the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary too and were lucky to see a baby rhino and its parents. After the three full days of adventure, we safely returned to the capital. Thank you so much, Roger and Juuko, for taking care of us and for showing us how beautiful Uganda is. Hope to see you again!

My woderful stay in Entebbe and Uganda During my stay in Entebbe, I eas able to fufil my childhood dreams, namely to touch the waters of Victoria Lake and, then, to travel to the soirces of the Nile. My best tour guide was, of course, Ras. His name has got a powerful meaning in Ethiopian, i.e. Prince. He is a genuine prince by heart, character and manner. To me, Entebbe is the city of God. Uganda and Tanzania are the countries to which I would always come back. If Africa has its heart, then the heart's two chambers are Tanzania and Uganda. To all white people like me, I wpuld like to say that the cradle of the mankind is to be found in Africa. My skin is white, but my heart is black. And I ma proud of it.
