Safaris and Wildlife Holidays in Africa
Safaris and Wildlife Holidays in Africa – We have been back a week and thought we would say the safari surpassed all our expectations. Ken and Jenny Many of the world’s most spectacular wildlife encounters take place on a grand scale and over great distances – the annual migration of herds across the East African plains.
These are vast spectacles that we watch at a distance, as spectators. We are familiar with them from TV documentaries and photobooks, but nothing can compare to seeing them in the wild.
More rare but no less special are those small-scale wildlife encounters that we experience at an intimate, almost personal level – whether it’s a face-to-face encounter with a silverback gorilla in the rainforests of central Africa, or swimming in the crater lakes of fresh waters on hill tops.
These encounters can be heart-racing – but just as often they can be serene, as when watching an adult chimpanzee at play with its young, Some wildlife encounters simply require you to be in the right place at the right time. Others must be sought out, and require the expertise of talented guides and wildlife trackers to make them happen.
At Game Ranger Tours , we have been organizing wildlife holidays since 2008, starting in East Africa but since expanding to cover partly the whole eastern continent. Our travel team all have a background in wildlife travel, and an extensive knowledge of what’s needed to really make a wildlife holiday tick.
We can help you find a window unto the world’s most spectacular wildlife “events”, whether it’s the Great Migration of East Africa or the Gorillas & chimpanzees of Rwanda & Uganda But we can also help you discover your own particular wildlife passions – on a dedicated birding safari, for example, or an itinerary to track a specific species, such as rhino, leopard, savanna lion, Elephants & hippopotamus, or shoebill stork, to highlight just a few possibilities.
