The trip below is one example of what is possible in Tanzania, but get in touch with our team, and we’ll help you understand if it’s right for you.

Itinerary
Start your northern Tanzania adventure in the foothills of Mount Meru at Rivertrees Country Inn. Once an old coffee farm, the property has been transformed into 10 acres of sprawling greenery that provides the most peaceful setting and the perfect place for a one-night stop to recover from your international flights before you make your way to the Tarangire National Park.
Drive approximately 4 hours to reach Tarangire from Arusha, and venture into the remote southern region of the park for two nights on safari at Oliver’s Camp. The secluded camp is far from any other and you’re not likely to see other vehicles as you game drive in this area. In the mornings, enjoy breakfast on the deck as you watch the sunrise and the wildlife begin to stir before heading out on a game drive or taking a bush walk with one of our guides.
Enjoy a light breakfast before driving through the scenic Great Rift Valley on the way from Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing local coffee farms and villages along the way. The Highlands has redefined the Ngorongoro experience and taken it to a new level — quite literally. At 2,700 metres above sea level, the glass and canvas domed accommodation of The Highlands allows sweeping views across the region to be enjoyed from all rooms. Take a game drive in the famous Ngorongoro Crater or opt to see the beauty of the area on foot by hiking the nearby Empakaai Crater or the Olmoti volcano
Taking a packed lunch, you will spend today driving around the Ngorongoro Crater and down into the vast savannah plains of the Serengeti, game driving once you enter the park. Stay in the centre of the park near the Moru Kopjes, home to black rhino and away from the crowds. The Serengeti’s only all-female run camp is your home for the next few days. The incredible women of Dunia will welcome you with a song and dance before you settle in for a few memorable days. The camp is the ideal base for an iconic safari experience where rich wildlife, migrating wildebeest herds and big cats can be seen frequently.
After nine days of adventure and excitement exploring some of northern Tanzania’s best wilderness areas, Zanzibar is a relaxed and luxurious location, perfect for those wanting to unwind and relax in comfort. Bid your guide farewell at the airstrip in the Serengeti and fly to Zanzibar across the turquoise Indian Ocean, where a driver will transfer you to the north of the island to Matemwe. Make time for a dip in the pool, an indulgent spa treatment and a snooze in the hammock. If you’re still wanting a bit more, you can enjoy a snorkel in the shoreline of beautiful Mnemba Island and its coral reefs or grab a kayak and paddle around Zanzibar’s coastline.
Today you will be driven back to Zanzibar Airport, a journey of approximately 1.5 hours, where you can check-in for your international flight home
